I will predict that the ball will go in the hoop. This is because the ball is going for the back board and will bounce off of the back board and then go in the hoop.
To find the inverse i change the y's to x's and then square root both sides and then took the plus and minus of the answer to solve the equation. One observation i had was that the two functions and their inverses line up when we folded along y=x. Certain functions can have inverses that are also functions. This is only true if they pass the horizontal line test.
